It is provides the most beautiful views over the town, beach, port and Albères Mountains overlooking it. From the panoramic viewpoint, you can admire the whole coastline in a site steeped in history.
The Castle of Valmy is a private property, but the Park of Valmy, recently acquired by the town, offers the opportunity to discover the Mediterranean flora thanks to a nature trail.
Far from the bustle of the beach in summer, the 6-hectare park is a haven of coolness and greenery where it is so pleasant to have a picnic in areas specifically equipped close to waterfalls, fountains and children's playgrounds.
Valmy hosts a number of events including 'Floralies' (Flower Days) in April, 'Festival les Déferlantes' of Argelès-sur-Mer., 'Aplec' of Valmy (gathering of sardanas), International Art Exhibition and Flamenco Festival.
Since 2008, a nature trail comprising some fifteen stopping places and an interpretation path have been created in the heart of the park.
